Build Resilience & Your Mental C.O.R.E Skills

There is much talk of mental health these days but I prefer to speak in terms of mental fitness.

We train our bodies so that we can perform better physically. If we wish to overcome the internal and external roadblocks, we face, then we must train our minds in the same way.

When we build our mental levels of strength, endurance and flexibility, we are better equipped to deal with what life throws at us and to create the outcomes we wish to see.

The work I do with clients is built upon my mental fitness C.O.R.E philosophy.

These are four key components that when combined together produce the resilience to overcome resistance and create results.

CALM

When stress & anxiety levels rise we enter 'fight or flight' mode. Our ability to self-regulate our nervous system so we have the clarity to act in a decisive and constructive manner is key. 

OPEN

Far too often we suppress what we truly think or feel. Our ability to move past our conditioning so that we feel free to express ourselves and get what we actually want in life is essential.  

RATIONAL

Much of our mental & emotional fatigue is caused by how we think things 'should' or 'must' be based on hidden beliefs and rules. The ability to dispute and change these beliefs and rules is the primary weapon in the battle with your own mind.

ENGAGEMENT

All the training, tools and techniques are useless without the ability to execute them. By training your mental core, you are able to take calm, open and rational action at all times.   

When clients start working with me, we're usually focusing on a particular problem that is most pressing in their business or life at that time. 

However, with my high performance background, I'm always looking for ways to maximise efficiency and results.

With that in mind, the processes I take my clients through have been created to not only solve the problem at hand, but also improve all areas of their life at the same time.

STRESS & AnXIETY

The pressure of your business, personal life and the outside world are taking their toll, leaving you in an almost constant state of stress.

Together we'll identify the patterns causing your overwhelm, and create a plan of action for you to quickly break the cycle.

PROCRASTINATION

Despite what you've been told, procrastination isn't a time management issue, it's a self-regulation issue. Our hidden core beliefs drive the negative automatic thoughts and emotions that create our procrastinating behaviour. It's time to take back control of your mind so you can take the action.

BURNOUT

You've worked hard to get where you are, a bit too hard. At the time the sacrifices you had to make to succeed made sense and you were too busy to notice the cost.

You used to be full of purpose and passion but now you feel bored and exhausted. It's time to get your life back and ensure you never experience burnout again.

Insomnia

Waking up more tired than you were the day before sucks. You're well aware you need enough sleep to function and this knowledge only stresses you out further and makes things worse.

I can help you get back to sleeping well without the need for medication with Cognitve Behavioural Therapy For Insomia (CBT-I), an evidence-based treatment that was developed specifically for people who struggle with insomnia.

Ways To Get Help

Single Session Coaching Or Therapy

Sometimes one session is all that is required to get you unstuck. We'll spend 60-90 minutes together working on your problem and you'll leave with clear action steps. We'll have a follow-up call after an agreed interval to check on your progress. If we decide that it would be beneficial to work together for more than one session we'll book some more. A simple, easy and efficient approach to providing the help you need!

Brief Coaching Or Therapy

We both want the same outcome. To find out what's holding you back and remove it in the fastest time possible so you can move forward. That's why I specialise in what is referred to as 'brief' coaching & therapy. It means we'll focus on one initial area, decide on a clear outcome together and work towards it over a number of weeks. The average amount of sessions is six but it could be less or more dependant on your needs.

Intensives

If you're ready to 'roll up your sleeves' and get to work, an intensive might be the best option for you. If you're committed and clear on the outcome you wish to achieve from coaching or therapy we can condense weeks of work into a matter of hours or days. Intensives can be carried out online or in person and range from a morning to a few days.

Workshops

Occasionally I'll run small workshops on a particular topic or area that many people struggle with. To ensure you get the personal attention you need, the number of attendees on any workshop is restricted. Workshops take place online and in-person.
